PERFUSION STUDY), F-18 FDG PET STUDY)
- Nuclear Cardiology procedures are safe , non-invasive & cheap.
- It is an OPD (Out patient department) procedure, usually one day protocol study.
- Patient can restart his/her day to day activity immediately after the procedure.
- Does not have any side effects.
- Sensitivity (89%) /Specificity (92%) significantly higher as compared to other non invasive procedures.
- Suspected patients of having coronary artery disease, history of two or more risk factors i.e., Hypertension, Diabetes mellitus, family history, continuous stress & strain, Hyperlipidaemia, history of long standing smoking etc.
- History of previous myocardial infarction to assess myocardial viability before subjecting for revascularization procedure.
- Post CABG/Post Angioplasty assessment of graft patency to rule out restenosis.
- To assess haemodynamic status of borderline documented stenotic lesion depicted in coronary Angiography.
- Patient of LBBB, left ventricular hypertrophy, female patients.
- Patient suffering from Acute ischaemic syndrome etc.
